Women's Wellness Workshops 2015 "Make Your Own Natural Deodorant"

She started by giving her presentation on the benefits of wearing natural products as opposed to the un-natural. These are the all the ingredients and utensils needed along with a spoon. smile emoticon
***In case you can't see it Organic coconut oil is used... It's beside the baking soda.

Steps:
1) Melt Coconut Oil
2) Pour Warm Coconut Oil in Bowl.
3) Use Baking Soda
4) Use Arrow root Powder
5) Stir and Mix well
6) It should look like a soupy cake batter

:::She made 2 Kinds:::Sensitive skin: Omits the baking soda

Everyone got the chance to choose which type of mixture they wanted (regular or sensitive skin), then adding the essential oils, mixing, and bottling in their deodorant containers.

They decorated their containers...and once the deodorant cools, it becomes a deodorant stick.

I think the most beautiful thing about this program is seeing the children make new friends and interested in learning.

They are soooo creative... even with a few things. It shows, you don't need expensive products. You just need a few good friends and everyone becomes creative.

They asked a few questions and they were o.k., to do things on their own....and that's what it's all about.

Learning new things and how to use these new things is essential to the mind of children. We have to allow them to explore, with guidance.

I really love seeing the finished products and so do they..

The children and their parents/ grandparents are Amazing... they brought in all sorts of Butters! and boy were they creative!!!! I was really AMAZED at the skills they all put forth into making these Beautiful Butters... Not only were they Packed with creativity! They were So GOOOOOOD! They Actually taste like different flavors of ICE CREAM! If the butters were really cold, I think I would have believed it was ice cream! They did a great job naming their butters, because they truly tasted just like they were named.

(We all sat around tasting butters, eating them on crackers)

(1) Zesty Butter was made of Raw Honey and orange Zest

(2) Hibiscus Butter was made of Honey and Hibiscus Flowers chopped.

(3) Cinnabun Butter was made of Raw Honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

(4) Pistachio Butter was made of raw Honey, Ground pistachios, and cardamom

(5) Lycii Berry Butter was made of Honey and Lycii Berries chopped

(6) Mango Butter was made of Pomegranate Honey, strawberry juice, mango,

cinnamon, ginger.

(7) Lavender Butter was made of Honey and Lavender flowers.

(8) Oat Butter was made of Honey, Rolled oats, cinnamon, and coconut.

We Played a Guess-timation Game,

(1) Each Person was given a pencil and a piece of paper.

(2) They were shown a container with these yummy treats.

(3) They had to guess how many of each of these were in the container. (Yes, I gave a fair hint) smile emoticon

(4) Winner takes the Container Home.

******** How many****

(a) There were 84 Agave Gummies (closest Guess was 86)

(b) There were 206 Marshmallow (closest Guess was 210)

(c) There were 45 Peanut Butter Pretzels (someones actual Guess was 45)

"Name that Season" is a game where I go down the line asking the question...."In what season is this food ready to be picked or caught?"... and yes, there was fish in these questions too... Even meats have a season that they are most mature to be caught and eaten......so if they guessed right, They get a Vitamin c sucker! (300% vitamin C)... and If they got it wrong, they had to eat a beautiful, yummy beet or rutabaga cube... Well, needless to say, these kids did not scare easily, they all liked beets and some liked rutabagas "These were healthy kids" they ate it like a Boss! lolololol... I must find something more scary next time...***We also talked about the benefits of Beets and rutabagas and their nutrient base.

Here's How to Make Butter

you will need:
(1) Heavy Whipping Cream and a Container with a tight lid...

(2) Pour heavy whipping cream in the container (half full).

(3) Shake it... it will sound like a heavy milk while shaking.

(4) After a little while there will be no sound, if you open the lid and it looks like #4... (you have made whip cream like cool whip.)

(5) Keep shaking it will begin to separate and it will look like a less curdy cottage cheese like #5.

(6) Just continue shaking... you will eventually hear lots of liquid going on, when you hear this... the liquids have separated from the solids and you have successfully made butter! like #6.

(7) Remove from liquid and wrap your butter... (refrigerate, because it's nice and soft...unless you are going to eat it right then.)

*** You may add Honey, but if you do.. only add a little or the honey will keep it sort of in a liquid state or like #5.

**** HINT*** the bigger the container, the longer it will take to become a solid...so lots of shaking will have to happen. However, I think you can do this process with a mixer as well...

Those who were in the Butter Challenge Received Toy Gift bags, but Everyone Recieved Wellness Candies.
